About

I was born in Egypt to Irish and Scottish parents. I studied Fine Art at the University of Nottingham and graduated with a BA in 2013. I have been a finalist in the Derwent Drawing Prize showing at the Mall Gallery in London as well as in the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2016.

December 2025 – Happy Christmas to you all. For an early Christmas present I completed a workshop learning how to work with cold wax and oils as an art form. Check it out.
November 2025 – Won Third Prize in CLASS 6 at the Willoughby Memorial Trust Open Art Competition 2025 with Cherries in a Pewter Dish. More information and gallery HERE.

2022 – Finalist in U3A Summer Online Exhibition.
2021 – Finalist in an online Exhibition for The Olde Lock Up Gallery with a work entitled Just Julie.
2020 – Finalist at the Harley Open with a work entitled Poached Egg on a Bed of Mushrooms and Lettuce.
2020 – Showed at the Salon des Refusés in Chelsea with the work Egypt Circa 1952.
2020 – Preselected from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition with a work entitled Egypt Circa 1952.

2018 – Finalist at the Harley Gallery open for a work entitled The Uncles.
2018 – Finalist for an exhibition at the Point Gallery in Doncaster with the work Nana O’Meara.
2017 – Featured in Prima Magazine promoting art and prostate cancer awareness.
November 2017 – Preselected for the Pastel Society Exhibition with a work entitled The Uncles.
2016 – Finalist in the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize with the work The Beach at Longniddry.

2013 – Finalist in the inaugural Derwent Drawing Prize with the work entitled The Internal Dialogue of Childhood Memory.
2013 – Preselected for the Threadneedle Prize, Mall Galleries, London.
June 2013 – Winner of the Knutson Hall Prize at Patchings Art Exhibition with the work Complementary Colours.
October 2012 – Awarded the Wirksworth Festival Prize in the Derby Open Art exhibition with a soundscape entitled The Whispering (audio piece).
